In my frail humanness, I️ shriek at the sound of suffering. I️ wave my white flag. I️ cower at the thought of hard circumstances and situations. I️ run from conflict and turn inward. I️ too easily choose despair. I️ somehow become unaware of others as I️ become hyper-focused on myself. I️ don’t breed hope and love at these times. But God is teaching me to stay in the fight and finish well.
The older I become, the more I realize that my story is less about me and more about God. He is writing my narrative. And if I lean into the voice of the Holy Spirit, I can see the story of redemption being penned. My prayer is that you see God working in your life today too.
God calls the messy, broken, wayward, sinful Corinthians “holy.” He didn’t look at their past, but rather saw their potential. He always has a greater perspective than we can ever imagine!
