LENT: FINISH
In my frail humanness, I️ shriek at the sound of suffering. I️ wave my white flag. I️ cower at the thought of hard circumstances and situations. I️ run from conflict and turn inward. I️ too easily choose despair. I️ somehow become unaware of others as I️ become hyper-focused on myself. I️ don’t breed hope and love at these times. But God is teaching me to stay in the fight and finish well.
LENT: GROUNDED
We want our coffee hot and our french fries fast. We live in a quick-to-order, hurry-it-up culture. Life in the fast lane. And too often, we want to hurry up God.
