Have we lost this in the church today? A sense of deep community where we are invested in the lives of others over the long-haul. Have we lost this in our community? A desire to know others so that they can know God. Have we lost this in our own families? A passion to see others pursue God with all of their heart, strength, and soul.
Many of us feel at odds when we consider “What will happen when I die?” We don’t think longingly about heaven because we’re not intimate with Jesus right now. Instead of our future home bringing us comfort, it seems like a far-off land.
God calls the messy, broken, wayward, sinful Corinthians “holy.” He didn’t look at their past, but rather saw their potential. He always has a greater perspective than we can ever imagine!
