God wants you to tilt your head up for a moment to see that there is a bigger, eternal story unfolding right now. An eternal story is taking shape, in which you have a role. There is more going on then whiny kids and temper-tantrums and traffic that doesn’t go anywhere. There is more to life than over-stuffed closets and runny noses at night. Yes, I promise you there is more than hurt feelings and arguments and feeling like you are no good. God wants you to see a glimpse of Him.
Heaven is Real
“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” 2 Cor. 4:17-18
Take a moment today to look around you. Nature reflects the image of God. According to Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been seen, being understood from what has been made so that people are without excuse.” If you need a reminder for the hope that we have, look around you. The birds. Blue sky. Green grass. Brilliant butterflies.
If God is writing an eternal story, where do you fit in? Also, how do you see God working in your life today? What can you do to point others to Him?
