God is Able

Posted on January 13, 2015May 8, 2020 by Cheerful Soul

AN AMAZING GOD

“The heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.” Psalm 19:1-3

I’ve come up with a theory as I’ve grown older: the more I know, the less I know. In others words, at the ripe age of 18 I thought I had this whole life thing figured out. In many ways, I believed I had the answers to everything. However, as my steps have carried me, I’ve come to realize one thing…I am a long ways away from figuring God out. There are times I set out thinking I know how God is going to work things together for my good, only to be surprised by the end result. God continues to show off His creativity, unsurpassing greatness, and awe-inspiring genius. In other words, He blows me away.

From the very beginning of time, the stars have puzzled us, and the expansiveness of our galaxy has mystified scientists. Despite all of our earthly wisdom of molecular biology, chemistry, physics and the vast array of research and studies of nature, we are continuously perplexed by the masterful, super-intelligent Designer called God. We have made far-reaching efforts to prove and disprove God and yet, we stand back in awe to explain the scent of a flower or the magnificence of a storm. No one can contain God Almighty or begin to replicate his intricate designs.

Clearly, there is a higher power, a masterful Creator surrounding the artistry. You see, it takes faith to believe that God exists just as much so as it takes faith to believe He doesn’t. After all, it takes faith to believe our created existence came into being out of something, somewhere, or someone.

Why then, is it such a struggle to believe there is a God?

Creation displays God’s power is beyond limit. He cannot be contained or restrained. Down to the tiniest, minute detail, God has figured everything out. Setting things in motion. Giving purpose to every living thing.

We see Job demand a reason from God as to why he had to endure such demanding and unexplainable suffering in Job 38. Job struggled to comprehend the logic, the reasoning, and the tremendous power of God. Look how God responds: “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? … Or shut in the sea with doors? …Have you commanded the morning since your days began?” God continues on in great elaboration of His power over every living thing, every clap of thunder, every breath of air, every drop of rain. Suddenly, Job realizes his smallness in the midst of a powerful and mighty God.

“I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted … Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.” Job 42:2, 3

Take a look at God’s creation…in no way, shape or form is He our inferior. As much as we would like to boss God around and place expectations and demand on how He should operate this world, we must remind ourselves that His way is better than we could ever imagine.

Sue, this is one of the better articles I have read on the power of God. Wonderful! I hope your words touch those who try to put distance between God and them. Please accept my compliments. God bless.

Once you see God’s mighty work in the infinity of existence, in the petals of flowers and the whispering of the wind you are closer to him and that’s all that matters. Keep listening and you will not be disappointed <3

Woohoo! 🎉🎈. It’s Friday! I️ feel good 🎶 Seems like just yesterday you were 9 🎉🎈 Happy Birthday Jesus! Thank you for giving us this special day to celebrate all that you have done for us! We are so blessed by a relationship with you, as well as with family & friends! Living the Texas life & loving it! #familieshelpingfamilies #regentsschoolofaustin This one is good… The world seems pretty unpredictable as of late, so I must remind myself that God is always up to something. But when I take a look around, it sure doesn’t seem that way. Our nation seems more like a dysfunctional family with constant bickering and fighting. Not to mention all the chaos ensuing outside of our borders too.⠀ Happy Birthday 🎊🎉🎂! I️ cannot believe we have another adult in the house. Love you Kade! Hi Friends!⠀ #firstdayofschool here we come! 🎉💕
